Eurovacuum EVD-series pumps are Oil Recirculation, Double Stage, Air-Cooled and Direct Driven. They are compact in design- Reliable & Durable- Easy to maintain and operate. Easy installation due to air-cooling without any cooling water requirements. The pumps are direct driven, so they do not require belts. They reach an ultimate vacuum of 10-4 mbar and come standard with a gas ballast valve for pumping of condensable gasses.
The Oil Sealed Rotary Vane Pump operates according to the rotary vane principal. The rotor is eccentrically positioned in the pump cylinder and has machined slots for sliding vanes. The centrifugal force of the rotation pushed vanes out these slots and towards the wall of the cylinder. The gas enters the vacuum pump inlet then passes through a built-in anti-suck valve that prevents the pump from rotating backwards and into the cylinder. The gas is compressed and pushed into the second stage of the pump. This stage works the same as the first stage. On the exhaust side of the second stage the gas is compressed against the exhaust valve into the pump oil housing. The oil is feeding consistently by an oil pump to the cylinders from oil sump for sealing and lubrication. The pressure of the oil pump also allows the inlet valve to be opened, if there is no oil pressure the inlet valve will be closed by a spring and prevents the vacuum system from being vented via the vacuum pump.
